SPRING TRAINING: 25 IDEAS FOR AN EPIC SEASON
Spring in our neck of the woods is a bit of a magic trick. One morning you’re defrosting the car, and the next, you’re blinking at the June calendar wondering where the time went. It’s easy to let the season slip away into a blur of chores and 'maybe next weekend.' That’s why we’ve put together this Spring Bucket List. The Spring season goes from March 20th - June 21 (Spring Equinox through the Summer Solstice). These 25 ideas are designed to be quick wins in celebration of the season—think an hour here or an afternoon there—so you can actually enjoy the sunshine instead of just watching it from your office window. Our advice? Circle your top eight, put them on the fridge, and make this the season you actually lived.
Outdoors + Fresh Air (1-8)
- Watch one sunrise (or sunset if you’re not a morning person).
2. Take a “first warm day” walk without a heavy coat—no phone for 20 minutes.
3. Visit a local park you’ve never been to and do a full loop.
4. Try a new trail or nature preserve and bring a snack like you’re on a mini expedition.
5. Eat one meal outside—porch, patio, car tailgate, it counts.
6. Do a spring photo scavenger hunt: buds, birds, puddle reflections, first flowers, green grass.
7. Start a simple garden: herbs in a window, a pot on steps, or a small raised bed.
8. Plan a one day trip to a nearby town, lake, scenic overlook, or historic site.
Home Reset (9–14)
9. Declutter one “annoyance zone”: junk drawer, entryway, or the chair that collects clothes.
10. Swap seasonal gear: winter coats/boots away, lighter layers accessible.
11. Clean your windows (even just the inside). It changes the whole room.
12. Do a “10-bag donation challenge”: fill bags with things you won’t miss, drop them off immediately.
13. Refresh one room for $0–$25: rearrange furniture, new pillow covers, thrift-store vase, fresh towel set.
14. Make your home smell like spring: open windows, bake something simple, or add a fresh candle.
Food + Local Favorites (15–19)
15. Try one new coffee shop or bakery and order something you’ve never had.
16. Cook one “spring meal”: big salad, lemony chicken, roasted veggies, or a bright pasta.
17. Do a farmers market run—even if it’s small—then build a meal around what you find.
18. Have a “season opener” meal out on the first patio you can find.
19. Host a low-effort get-together: soup-and-salad night, dessert bar, or “bring your own snack” hangout.
People + Memories (20–23)
20. Text three people you’ve been meaning to reconnect with—short message, no big speech.
21. Do one friend date: walk, coffee, thrift trip, or a quick dinner.
22. Go to one local event: craft fair, trivia night, live music, community fundraiser, museum exhibit.
23. Make a mini time capsule: 10 photos, a note about what’s going on, and one small keepsake.
Mind + Momentum (24–25)
24. Start a 7-day “spring energy” streak: 20-minute walk, early bedtime, or morning stretch—pick one.
25. Write a one-page “Spring Wins” list at the end of the season: what you did, what you loved, what you want more of next year.
How to Actually Finish the List
Here’s the cheat code: choose three anchor days in March (one weeknight, one Saturday morning, one Sunday afternoon) and assign a bucket list item to each. Put it on the calendar. That’s it. Spring doesn’t need a grand plan. It needs a few intentional moments you’ll remember.
Grab your favorites, set a date for the first one, and actually enjoy the spring you’ve been waiting for.
